Background
In 1968, the Eddy Duc “Fiducia” sole-ownership trust company was established at 21 Avenue des Alpes in Sierre.
In 1979, the Duc-Valloton & Cie SNC partnership was created in Fully at the request of Mr Jean Dorsaz.
In 1986, the Duc-Valloton & Cie SNC partnership was converted into a limited company by the name of Duc-Valloton & Cie with its registered office in Martigny.
In 1987, Mr François Sarrasin, working at the Martigny agency since 1982, took up the reins of the company as a result of the resignation and departure of Mr Valloton.
In 1988, following the departure of Mr Valloton and the arrival of Mr Sarrasin, the company name was changed to Duc-Sarrasin & Cie SA, with its registered office in Martigny.
In 1991, Eddy Duc sold his sole-ownership company to Duc-Sarrasin & Cie SA and the company’s registered office was transferred to Sierre.
On this date, the existing company was born, with a clear distinction between the trust services in Sierre and the property services in Martigny.
Some major events contributed towards the success of the company.
In Sierre, since 1st June 2011, Sébastien Duc, Eddy’s son, motivated and holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Company Management and about to obtain his Certified Expert Diploma took over the management of the trust company.
In Martigny, for personal reasons, François Sarrasin gradually ceased all activity.
In that year, 2016, Eddy Duc and François Sarrasin decided to transfer the property business in Martigny to a nationally and internationally recognised agency.
One of the main objectives has been achieved, namely all of the staff have been kept on for the medium- to long-term.
Cooperation between the Agencies in Sierre and Martigny has thus been maintained.
The company name of Duc-Sarrasin & Cie SA was transferred to the new Agency and the registered office was transferred to Martigny.
From this demerger, DS Fiduciaire, Duc et Fils SA was born, with its registered office in Sierre.
Continuity is thus ensured in Sierre as regards the Trust business.
